A Decade of Dedication

This month marks a significant milestone at Brindle & Green as we celebrate Lucie’s 10 year anniversary!

A decade of dedication, talent and impact that deserves to be recognised and celebrated. In his own words, Managing Director Neil Crofts tells Lucie’s story of how she has grown with Brindle & Green over the last 10 years.

Lucie joined B&G in the spring of 2015 when there can’t have been more than a handful of staff. We had just relocated to our current offices and needed some much needed firepower to get through the increasing volume of work. Lucie moved from Newcastle, following her husband who had been awarded a senior post at the University of Derby and she had held various roles in the broader environmental field.

Initially joining as an ecologist it was evident from day 1 that she was not only ridiculously hard working but had an appetite for technical detail and proficiency that was essential to a young, growing company. In the early stages of her work with B&G she was completing her PhD and doing some work for the University of Derby too. If ever there were early signs she was going to really work hard!

A lot happens in a business in 10 years and she will be the first to laugh at some of the funniest memories and shudder at the stresses – but one thing is for certain, she remains steadfast in working relentlessly to make B&G the best possible place to work and pushes all of us hard to offer the best level of technical standard possible. Lucie is everything a business would ever need – loyal, determined, incredibly intelligent and driven. But she cares deeply for the people within the business, for the companies reputation and for the environment. 10 years on and Lucie sits right at the top of a fast paced, growing & thriving organisation. She is still our most senior and experienced consultant, she is now the lead and support on many of our largest and most complex projects, she leads on policy and key decision making.

Where others have arrived for a few fleeting years and liked the idea of pushing a business forward, Brindle & Green is what it is because of Lucie. It relies on her drive, steadfastness and skill to see what the business needs and how it should operate. There are not that many (although we are lucky to have more than a few at B&G) who remain in a business long enough to see that story and their influences evolve. If you have projects with Lucie as a client you know you will receive prompt, informative and accurate information – something that appears to be a rare commodity these days! And as a colleague you can rely on loyalty and sound advice. Which is all you can ever really want.

Thank you Lucie for 10 years of brilliance. You should be incredibly proud of your achievements as we are of you.

Here’s to 10 more – albeit maybe at just a slight more manageable pace!
