At Brindle & Green, we believe that success isn’t just measured by professional achievements. We take pride in celebrating the passions and accomplishments of our team members outside of work, recognising that these endeavours contribute to their personal growth and community impact. One such inspiring story comes from our very own Financial Controller, Scott Reast.
Over the past five years, he has dedicated countless hours to coaching grassroots cricket—a role he has embraced with unwavering passion and commitment. His involvement in the sport is entirely voluntary, driven by a genuine love for the game and a desire to give back to the community.
While Scott regularly helps coaching the girl’s section at Duffield CC, Butterley United Cricket Club has become his primary coaching ground. Under his guidance, the club has seen remarkable growth. What started as a modest group of players has blossomed into a thriving cricket community with eight teams across junior, women’s, and men’s divisions. Scott’s influence has been instrumental in nurturing young talent and fostering a love for the sport among his players.
Scott’s dedication to grassroots cricket has not gone unnoticed. His exceptional coaching skills and commitment to the development of players recently earned him the prestigious title of “Derbyshire Grassroots Heroes Award for Coach of the Year”. This award is a testament to the positive impact Scott has made, not just in the lives of his players but also in the broader cricketing community.
At Brindle & Green, we are incredibly proud of Scott’s achievements and the difference he has made through his voluntary work. His story serves as a reminder that our passions outside of work are just as important as our professional accomplishments. Scott’s dedication to cricket is a shining example of how giving back to the community can inspire and empower others.
As Scott continues to shape the future of grassroots cricket, we look forward to supporting him and celebrating the successes that come from his passion for the game. Congratulations, Scott, on your well-deserved recognition.
